Another newly discovered VoIP blog

Thomas Anglero has been writing Telecom’s Tsunami since 2003, and I’m embarrassed to say that I wasn’t aware of it.  He complains that the VoIP blogging community is closed.  I guess in his position you might think that.  As with any blogger, the quickest way to get my attention is write something that links to something I’ve written, or drop me an email.

got interested in the telcos when i read this … “Grains of sand–the most humble and ostensibly worthless of materials–metamorphosed into silicon wafers and optically pure glass, making possible the creation of worldwide communications networks. This, together with the deployment of ever more sophisticated satellite systems, has begun providing access to the accumulated knowledge of the entire human race for people everywhere, without distinction. It is apparent that the decades immediately ahead will see the integration of telephone, television, and computer technologies into a single, unified system of communication and information, whose inexpensive appliances will be available on a mass scale. It would be difficult to exaggerate the psychological and social impact of the anticipated replacement of the jumble of existing monetary systems–for many, the ultimate fortress of nationalist pride–by a single world currency operating largely through electronic impulses. ” … in my mind i was like wow … if i could isolate that “single world currency operating largely through electronic impulses” before anyone else why i could become stinking rich … first thought of was gold & silver, but alas in todays world there are far to many other considerations than such the simplistic route of gold/silver, which, btw, are zero yield investments and thus only martyrs and saints are attracted to a bimettalic money regime … so … it wasn’t to long after reading that statement i ran across two things … nttl.ob and the iraqi dinar … nttl fired my imagination as to what if the various telcos of the world could be united in a single parent company …as to the iraqi dinar … it was like … wow … first voip than mbanking than some sorta loca/regional/national/global clearing house … but the iraqi dinar … trillions of paper notes just floating about … yea … big changes for the world if the dinar is to knock out and consolidate all the jumble of existing monetary systems …. could take decades … but hey … at least i have a dream … oneness,dh … http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/mb/NTTL.OB

After seeing the comment about the VoIP blog community being closed I created a VoIP topic on Local Thoughts which is a blog aggregation site I’m working on. I managed to track down a pretty good list of VoIP bloggers (including this site of course).
