Harris still interested in leading Tories Sources say Mr. Harris is interested in the job if he can be convinced that he is the leader to bring the Tories and Canadian Alliance together. He previously expressed interest in the job, but only if the two parties were united first. But a source said yesterday that the leadership does not have to be gift-wrapped.
Mike Watkins picked up the Globe story above. I am not sure that Harris would be the best candidate, though. I don’t believe in "Unite the right" for the reasons I outlined in this piece, and I am not convinced that Mr. Harris’ lack of french language skills wouldn’t be a huge detriment.
