Calliflower: new features, payment processors and a better sign-up process

We’re going into a summer weekend here pretty satisfied with the last week.  Last night we rolled out some changes to Calliflower that will really help our business.

First, we’ve made it easier than ever for customers to participate in a Calliflower call. Participants (as opposed to organizers) will be able to join the call without signing up to use Calliflower, and still have access to all the great Calliflower features. Organizers send invitees a link to to the call using their regular email.  Attendees click the link, and put in a name and email address for notifications.  That’s it.  It’s a one time “yes, I’ll attend your call”, as opposed to registering to become a Calliflower member. We built this feature for the teleseminar and webinar leaders who’ve started to adopt Calliflower.  The net of it?  If you’ve got a huge mailing list of people that you want to invite, or you want to post an invitation to your event on a website or a blog, it’s now very easy to do. You can find out more details about how this works in the updated FAQ.

Second, we’ve increased the payment options for Calliflower Premium. Now you can choose PayPal or American Express (via PayPal). Personally, I always prefer to pay by PayPal and I think this is a great step.  And for many business people who have expressed a desire to use Calliflower, the lack of American Express card processing has been a huge barrier.  Barrier gone.

And lastly, we have a dramatically simplified new sign up process.  We heard loud and clear from users interested in Calliflower Premium that they were skeptical about signing up, and then cancelling after the 14 day trial period.  From now on, when you sign up for Calliflower, you get 14 days free usage of Calliflower Premium, without having to put in a credit card. Just give us your name and email address, and you’ll be running Calliflower Premium. At the end of 14 days, if you decide you don’t need the Premium features, then they just turn off.

So if you know anyone who needs a great collaboration and conference calling solution for webinars, or teleseminars, please encourage them to test drive Calliflower!
