4 Calliflower Updates

by alec on October 12, 2008

You may have noticed some changes to the Calliflower conference call service in the last couple of days.  We’ve made some updates which are designed to improve the experience for our users, and I think you’ll agree that they do!

1. SMS notifications are back.  Now, when you’re invited to a call, and 15 minutes before that call takes place, you will receive an SMS notification on your mobile phone.  Calliflower users can activate this feature by visiting the settings page in Calliflower on Facebook or from within the Calliflower web application.

2. There’s a new date and time selection widget when creating a call.  Based on a familiar calendar paradigm, this new widget makes it possible to choose a date and time for a call in just three mouse clicks.

3. We’ve upgraded our PC calling client.  The new client, provided by TringMe, is flash based, which means no downloads.  It should work much more reliably than our previous Java-based client, and provide higher audio quality as well.

4. Throughout the application you should see performance improvements of up to 20% across the board.

If you’re a Calliflower user, try these improvements out and tell us what you think.  And if you’ve not yet tried a free conference call with Calliflower… well, what are you waiting for?
