Rogers to deliver Nokia Maps to Canadians

by alec on September 11, 2008

Nokia’s on a bit of a roll at CTIA, unveiling a series of announcements, including an agreement with Rogers here in Canada to launch their NGAGE and Maps applications to Canadian customers.  Rogers has but one Nokia smartphone available — the N95 8Gb — but nonetheless it’s a welcome development to see these applications come to Canada.  I used and wrote about Nokia Maps during my travels in Europe this summer.  In my opinion it’s the current cream of the crop personal navigation application amongst all smartphones.  Nothing that RIM, Apple or Microsoft have can really compare.

Now, if only Rogers would bring a few more of Nokia’s phones to Canada.  The N96 anyone?  Or perhaps the N78?
