The iPhone 2.02 software was pushed last night, and the last thing I did before bed was to start the upgrade on my phone. This morning I can say that it appears to have fixed a lot of the problems I’ve encountered with 2.01.
- The VPN client will now run on both WiFi and 3G networks.
- Stability seems dramatically improved. I haven’t seem email, Safari, or Facebook crash yet this morning.
I’ve noticed dramatically reduced performance connecting to web sites when my VPN is active, which suggests that it is routing all internet traffic through the VPN, rather than just the internal traffic. I’m surprised if that’s the case. It’s a small price to pay for the increased stability, however.
Two thumbs up!
