Qik needs to get Qikly approved by Apple

by alec on August 14, 2008

Before bed last night, I caught sight of the fact that Qik has announced iPhone 3G support!  Huzzah!  Popped over to the web site and discovered that it requires a “jailbroken” iPhone 3G.  Haven’t done that yet, and until (a) there’s a reliable way to unlock the phone as well and (b) Apple’s bug releases on software slow down, I am unlikely to do it.  Qik needs to get this approved through the App Store as soon as possible.

Matt Miller has a full report on how well it works.  Worth a read if you’re interested in streaming video on 3G.
