I work in Kanata, surrounded by so many tech companies, yet the small group of telecom providers that serves the region lags so far behind the rest of the planet it's not funny. I'm in Madrid this week and I'm amazed at what the telecoms are advertising here - wireless internet access for laptops, everywhere, for 30E a month. This is true for the entire industry, but it never ceases to amaze me how it is especially so in Canada.
