A winter afternoon in Ottawa

by alec on March 1, 2008

It’s been snowing for weeks here in Ottawa.  Overnight it started again, it’s been snowing all afternoon, and we expect it to continue to the evening.  Terrific weather to take dogs for a walk, right?

So out we went, dressed for the weather, and armed with my trusty N95 to take a few photos.

There were some ducks in the creek.

Tough sledding for low slung shelties, but they made the best of it.

Tough sledding for humans too.  Look at how deep that snow is!

We found a snow cave in the park too.

The trees were beautiful with snow on them.

And you can just see the water in the creek poking through the snow.
