Squawk Box January 16

by alec on January 16, 2008

Here's the latest Squawk Box podcast.  We had Jim Courtney, Randall Howard and myself for most of the call discussing the events at MacWorld yesterday.  We talked about the Macbook Air, the iPhone update, and the AppleTV update.  Enjoy, and see you tomorrow!

Alec Saunders is the Vice President of Developer Relations for BlackBerry maker Research in Motion. This is his personal blog, with his personal viewpoints. Prior to this Alec was the CEO and co-founder of Calliflower — the easiest way to hold a meeting, online, on a conference call, or on the go. A double-decade veteran of product management and marketing, he spent nine years at Microsoft where he helped launch Windows 95, the first two versions of Internet Explorer, the Universal Plug and Play initiative, the push into home markets, opt-in email marketing and what might well go down in history as the very first direct email list ever.

Hi Alec, The Iotum gadget is brilliant. Where were the other two contributers?

It's funny to hear you all pretending to be objective about Mac products.

The other two guys were in Mississauga, and on highway 401.

I think I'm reasonably unbiased about Apple products, Dad. After all, we own a houseful of iPods, and I bought more iPod gear over Christmas. In the case of Mac computers, though, I think people overpay without reason. Never tried Apple TV, but now that it doesn't require a computer, I may do so… at $229 the price is right.
