		<description>I&#039;m not sure about that Steve.  I seem to remember that RIM wrote a good chunk of Gtalk for the Blackberry.  Of course, I could be completely wrong. </description>

		<description>There is little evidence of &quot;partnering&quot; between RIM and Google in any meaningful or strategic sense, so far as I am aware. Cordial relationship, tactical application interoperability, use of public APIs, all yes... but nothing more at least for now. Not even a common or coordinated assault on common enemies like MSFT or NOK. They are both vying for a proprietary lock on overlapping user bases. </description>

		<description>I believe Google setup shop in Waterloo due to an acquisition of Reqwireless. They had offices in Toronto (Markham) before that, may still have. They also have a few employees here in Ottawa after their acquisition of Adscape but they&#039;re being asked to move I believe. </description>
