I have had the service for 2 1/2 months it has worked very good. There have been a few times when there is static when talking to some one. But overall I calculated it would pay for itself in 1 1/2 years and then it is all free after that, which sold me on it.

I did take into consideration that it would be down at times such as when my High speed internet service goes down. During these times I just planned on using my cell phone. I can’t comment on the security and privacy issues because I don’t have any clue. All that I do know is that in this internet age I can spend $50.00 online and find out just about anything I want about someone so I figure if someone really wants to steal your information they can get it anyway.

Overall service was just as good as when I had packet 8 and sunrocket.

I picked one up the other day; the early results are quite positive. I do NOT have it connected to our landline. The voice quality is far better than gizmo or skype and the QoS seems to be working well. It will be interesting to see if they stay in business long enough to produce a substantial savings over a monthly service, but the QoS is far better than what I was getting via packet8 with our old DTA.

OOMA sounds like a great product and i am too excited to be one of the first set of users to use it. Can somebody tell me if this product will work in India?
Thanks,

There seems to be some confusion on caller ID. They commented on my blog that caller ID will be disabled (so no third party ID). Here is OOMA"s response and followup on my post raising concerns.

Hey, if you get invitation tokens with your box, could you send the code on one to me at miquonranger03@gmail.com. You can also flame me, if you want.
