AT&T: The T-1000 of corporations

This is really too funny not to pass along. Colbert is hilarious.

Alec Saunders is the Vice President of Developer Relations for BlackBerry maker Research in Motion. This is his personal blog, with his personal viewpoints. Prior to this Alec was the CEO and co-founder of Calliflower — the easiest way to hold a meeting, online, on a conference call, or on the go. A double-decade veteran of product management and marketing, he spent nine years at Microsoft where he helped launch Windows 95, the first two versions of Internet Explorer, the Universal Plug and Play initiative, the push into home markets, opt-in email marketing and what might well go down in history as the very first direct email list ever.

Funny indeed…missing a few things though. SBC was also made up of Pacific Telesis (Nevada Bell, Pacific Bell) and SNET. And AT&T was obviously made up of more than just the companies they showed there. They held what is now Verizon and Qwest as well…

But accurate enough overall :)

Stephen Colbert IS absolutely hilarious. I even LIVE on "Chemin Colbert" !!

The video was a bit sad though. I spent a good part on the early 90s developing great relationships with the "Baby Bells" to combat the "Death Star"… I had nothing but great times at BellSouth, Ameritech, and SouthWestern Bell…

In Canada, I also had a great time working with NBTel… as you said Alec – c'est la vie.

cheers
Mitch
