Jajah's Sweet Christmas Deal

by alec on December 26, 2006

Christmas Day at the Saunders home was busy.  Five children, three dogs, and Gramma Hill!  Not only did we have the traditional champagne breakfast, open presents, eat a delicious lunch, and dig into Hughie, Dewie and Louie (three… ducks!) for Christmas dinner, I also found the time to call all my brothers, my brother-in-law, and my parents.  The whole family talked for hours on the telephone.  Courtesy of Jajah, it cost nothing.

Thanks guys!

Others didn’t have such a good experience, unfortunately.  Fellow Canadian Kempton, and Pat Phelan over in Ireland were among the unfortunates who couldn’t use Jajah’s services.

Alec – thanks for the feedback – thousands of people all over the globe had the same positive experience and we had record numbers of users and minutes served .. we will publish some of their great experiences of using the service – in the case of Pat and Kempton .. we sometimes had destination telco operators unable to connect calls – global telecoms switches get flooded on Xmas day with usage – we stayed up all day long – - we are proud of what we achieved and are really excited at bringing a new wave of global telephony to the people – People connected with their loved ones on Xmas day because of jajah and that is really a fact we are very proud of – Happy Holidays – Trevor.

Of course with Skype one could have had family conference calls with all those brothers and in-laws — free if the entire family lives within North America.

Absolutely Jim. I chose Jajah so that I could pass the handset to Janice as she cooked the duck, and to each of the kids as they took a break from their new toys and so on… I suppose I could have rigged a Skype-Out conference call the same way, and just conferenced in one of the handsets…
