N93 Redux

Lest my prior posts onÂ the N93 deceive you, I’m still fascinated by the possibilities of this device.Â Inspired by the Rob Dickinson music video, I’ve ordered a 2G media card, and I’m scouting for the Nokia DT-22 tripod and some decent video blogging software that will work with Symbian.

In the meantime, I await the promised N93 firmware update, and I’ve recently started to play with Nokia’s N73 and the Blackberry Pearl.Â Stay tuned.

… and, if you haven’t seen the Rob Dickinson video, go watch it, and the subsequent “making of” video.Â It might be the most amazing thing you’ve ever seen done with a camera phone.Â

VoIP News Top 50: Let's Recognize Jim and Phil

Monday VoIP News published their fifty most influential people in VoIP list, and naturally I was pleased to be both named on the list as a founder of iotum and for this blog.Â Thanks for the recogntion!Â

Two other Canucks made the list as well — Mark Evans and Jon Arnold, which Jon noted in his blog posting.Â I would also add, indirectly, that there is one other Canadian on the list, and that’s Jim Courtney through the citation in Skype Journal.Â Jim and Phil are the backbones of that site.Â

Albert Lai, CEO of photosharing startupÂ Bubbleshare,Â has been silent for a while.Â Last spring he was everywhere, including the now famous appearance with Scoble, Arrington and Bill Gates over lunch.Â According to rumours reported by GigaOm, TechCrunch, and OneDegree, Fox Interactive may be negotiating toÂ buy the company and move the team to California.Â
