GoogleFi: Good For Voice

Over on GigaOm, Katie Fehrenbach reports on her experience using VoIP clients on the new Google WiFi network in MountainView.  Good quality, in areas where the signal was strong enough.  This mirrors my experience using VoIP clients in a variety of circumstances, and on different networks.  The biggest problem, identified in the comments area, is the ubiquitous authentication screens that nearly all public WiFi access points have now.  For all intents and purposes, these make the use of non-PC based VoIP (such as dual-mode handsets) impossible.
