It’s a day after Vonage’s earnings release, and most folks are calling it a disaster.
Om Malik ticks through the numbers, and concludes “things are going to get ugly… but then you already knew that”.  VoIPNuke takes a swipe in Vonage Results Nothing But LOUSY. In Vonage’s Troubles Keep Piling Higher and Higher, Techdirt says “with its first earnings report as a public company the situation looks even worse in almost every way.” In More Lies From Vonage?, Preston Gralla hammers management’s positive spin on the situation.
There’s no doubt this will be ugly. The combined problems of lawsuits, failure to meet the street’s expectations, and continued losses will make it difficult for the company to raise more money as their financial resources are tapped. Management has their work cut out for them.
