SightSpeed Adds Phone

by alec on May 24, 2006

There’s an interesting game of cat and mouse going on.  SightSpeed, the best provider of consumer video calling, is adding PSTN voice in the new release they’re shipping today.  Skype added Video, Sightspeed adds voice.  Hmm…

The new release is about three things:

  1. Voice: including PC to PC voice only calls (for the times you don’t want or need video), and PC to PSTN voice calls.  PSTN to PC is coming soon.
  2. Video: enhanced codecs will improve their already great video quality.
  3. Contact Management: they’re adding features to help folks with large contact lists.

This looks interesting to me.  I’ll have to load it up on my PC and give somebody a call.
