The Ottawa Blog List

by alec on May 15, 2006

One of my Barcamp todo’s, following the session on Blogging in Ottawa, was to build a list of Ottawa blogs.  I’ve finally done a first cut of it.  It turned out to be a lot more work than I thought it would be, simply because there are a surprising number of bloggers in the nations capital.  People are blogging about technology, politics, parenting, restaurants, etc etc etc.  Not only did I find a lot of blogs, I found a lot that I will return to read over and over.

Anyway, without further ado, the list is below, and here is the OPML if you wish to import it into your RSS reader.  The list has a permanent home in the right sidebar, titled Alec’s List of Ottawa Blogs, and can be linked via http://saunderslog.com/alecs-list-of-ottawa-blogs/.  It was created with Bloglines, which makes it easy to update, so if you know of any other Ottawa blogs that I haven’t found, feel free to let me know.

Alec Saunders is the Vice President of Developer Relations for BlackBerry make Research in Motion. This is his personal blog, with his personal viewpoints. Prior to this Alec was the CEO and co-founder of Calliflower — the easiest way to hold a meeting, online, on a conference call, or on the go. A double-decade veteran of product management and marketing, he spent nine years at Microsoft where he helped launch Windows 95, the first two versions of Internet Explorer, the Universal Plug and Play initiative, the push into home markets, opt-in email marketing and what might well go down in history as the very first direct email list ever.

You've got a lot of nerve Doug! The top piece on your blog is MY posting on Bell's remote PVR. No attribution, no nothing. That's theft buddy!
