Hard for me to understand your assertion James that Vonage's business and cost models are solid. Telco's everywhere seem to be a tough business. Why is Vonage any different?

You're assuming they're cost to acquire each new subscriber will remain the same. Skype gained a lot of new users largely because of the press coverage it got from the eBay purchase.

I'm not saying Vonage will be cutting their marketing efforts anytime soon, but their business and cost models are solid. Besides Vonage and Skype are not direct competition.

eBay is kicking with PayPal as well...over 100 million accounts now...the math on PayPal is staggering too...think ~3% of every transaction they do...and that is a lot of transactions...
