Air Power Wiki Created

by alec on March 1, 2006

Yesterday this little blog had it’s highest traffic day ever, recording 21,000 hits from over 5,000 visits.  The reason was one posting: Airports Powerfully Bad. Clearly it struck a nerve!

I’ve created the Air Power wiki (http://airpower.pbwiki.com) using PBwiki. It’s a bit of an experiment, because I’ve never run a wiki before.  In the spirit of all wikis, this is a shared resource for people to use and contribute to.  If you find yourself in an airport looking for power, check the wiki out because somoene else might have found power before you and logged it.  And if you don’t find an entry, log what you find at the airport — no power, or power at Gate XX opposite the desk, and so on.

I have some info for Chicago O'Hare. Apparently I need a login to add the information but it wasn't immediately obvious to me how to sign up?

Hey Frank — thanks for the feedback. It turns out I had to buy the upgraded version to incorporate Contributor level folks, as well as Administrators. The Contributor password is "power" (without the quotes).

Alec, this is interesting… and I checked the Continental President's Club. The amenities are extensive, but they don't mention power.

A classic opportunity for Clayton Christensen disruption, if what most people really want is just a place to plug in and work.
