Jim Courtney has written a nice review of the Skype for Outlook toolbar over on the Skype Journal Website. He even gets in a nice mention of how this relates to Voice 2.0. Skype for Outlook is a part of my daily routine as well. These days, however, I am finding myself using Gizmo Project more and more. I wish they had as useful a tool as Skype for Outlook.

I like Gizmo as well, and have thought of doing the Outlook piece, however as far as I can tell the user base and API aren’t published.
