Ever wondered what can be seen by a satellite? This image is from the latest Google Earth database update. It shows an image (shot at 1 pixel per inch) from 51 feet above the parking lot at Google. See the two parking spots labelled "No Parking"?

Videotron Wins With VoIP

Videotron now has 75,000 VoIP customers, and is adding them at a rate of 4,000 per week.  For a small, Quebec-based, cable player these are fabulous results.

An Elaborate Hoax?

Is the Atom Chip Corporation an elaborate hoax?  It looks real enough until you get to this page, which shows you an image of their 24G Non-Volatile Optical Ram.  Looks like a headphone jack to me.

Global Crossing’s Hosted VoIP Offering

Global Crossing announced a new hosted VoIP offering targeted at small and medium business this morning. The company partnered with Teleware. The announcement came from London, and it’s unclear whether the service is available in other markets.
