Free iPods is a pretty interesting proposition. Buy something from one of their sponsors, and then get 5 more of your friends to do the same, and they will send you a free iPod. It looks dubious, but this Wired Magazine profile says it’s legitimate, and if you Google "Free iPods" you find any number of references to people who’ve received a free iPod through the promotion. Clearly, it’s an attempt to leverage the powerful ideas that Seth Godin pushes in his books. Recruit a "sneezer" and then get them to recruit their friends.
I signed up for an Audible.com subscription. Now all I need is five friends who’d also like to own a new iPod. If you’re interested, here’s my referrer link.
