German Judge Frees Qaeda Suspect; Cites U.S. Secrecy. This is a bombshell. In Germany a judge has freed a suspect because the witness required to corroborate the states case are being held a Gitmo, and the Americans are unwilling to release their testimony. Other suspects may also be freed. The rule of law has finally run headlong into the US policy on enemy combatants.
I am surprised that nobody in the Pentagon saw this one coming.
