And so it begins…

VoIP’s Big Week was last week.  Not only was there the FCC meetings, but also the NYSSA had a large scale roundup of VoIP companies for securities analysts at the Harvard Club in NY City, and… wonder of all wonders I ran into Jeff Pulver in a coffee shop in Toronto.

So it was a big week.  It was also a bit of a yawner.  A government meeting. Some big companies woke up from their hibernation long enough to bitch that somebody had stolen the blanket, and then rolled over and went back to sleep.  VoIP is still a tiny industry (put 100,000 subscribers in context: there are over 300 million phone lines in North America!), with lots of potential, but most of it yet unrealized.
