Ontario bill would outlaw two-tier health care. Dalton McGuinty’s Liberals really are dogmatic gits. Why can’t I spend my hard earned dollars in any fashion I choose?
What if I, as a business person, wanted to invest money in a private clinic in Ontario? And what if I had patients who wanted to spend their money at my private clinic? Why should that be illegal? Why should there be a legislated government monopoly on the provision of health care?
And why would the legislature bother to waste time on this kind of law, when they already have all the power needed to implement this, de-facto, anyway? There’s a legislated government monopoly on health insurance, for goodness sake!
Legislation like this really frosts my socks.
