Bob Frankston on VoIP

Bob’s ideas are pretty interesting.  He basically argues that overlaying the PSTN model on top of VoIP may be a limiting way to think about communications.

Bouchard Finlayson 1998 Kaaimansgat Chardonnay

Kaaimansgat is a South African chardonnay that I picked up a little over a year ago at the LCBO for about $18.  Superb value.  This is an elegant bottle of wine.  Honeyed, peachy, almost floral, nose.  On the tongue a terrific blend of apple, slight citrus, and honey. There’s a hint of oak, but it’s not overpowering.   [...]

Hockey Night in HD

Saw a great game tonight — Oilers versus the Canadiens in the so-called "Heritage Classic".  Played outside in -20C weather, it was fast paced (on very fast ice), and a lot of fun to watch.  And, the CBC broadcast in high definition.  Hurray!
