Caldera revives SCO name, upgrades OS products. Interesting strategy. Caldera, in my mind, is associated with Ray Noorda’s futile complaints about unfair Microsoft business practices, whereas SCO is one of the oldest names in the UNIX business. I’m not sure it will help much, but certainly abandoning the negative baggage assciated with the name Caldera can’t be a bad thing.
